George Bernard Thomas Jr., 88, was struck by a Virginia woman in a Chevrolet who failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making a turn at the intersection of Crain Highway and Turkey Hill Road, around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, the outlet said citing state police.
Thomas' vehicle was pushed over a guardrail on impact and went airborne before finally stopping in a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver who struck him was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
